Tidelands History and Future Trends
The community of Tidelands was built by Centex, developer units were sold at high prices (original sales price on the condo I just listed was $500,000+!) Tidelands was hit particularly hard by the Real Estate downturn, but the situation is getting better as the bank owned and short sale condos get sold. There have been 35 sales so far in 2011 as compared to 10 in total for 2011. There are still distressed properties on the market in Tidelands and it will be awhile before any uptick in pricing is noted; however this increase in property sales is a positive sign.
